Microsoft Silverlight for Mac. Microsoft Silverlight 4.0. Have to reinstall it on a regular basis to be able to watch Netflix movie downloads as sound gets chopped up or image freezes. Apr 21, 2013  So, whenever I try and watch netflix on my Mac, it tells me I need to download Silverlight to enable streaming. I go to try and install Silverlight and my computer not only tells me that I already have Silverlight, but that the Silverlight I have installed is a newer version of the one I'm trying to install.

For Firefox, Downloads is a separate window located in the Dock. Double-click on Silverlight.pkg. Follow the installation prompts. Close and reopen your browser and try Netflix again. Silverlight development framework is currently only supported on Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11, with support for Internet Explorer 10 ending on January 31, 2020. I am new to the Mac and I am questioning every move I make on it. I do not know what to download. I was wanting to watch Netflix but it said I had to download Microsoft Silverlight Plug-In, so I downloaded it, I moved it to my App folder, then pressed Control and clicked on it to open it and I was about to install it (All I had to do was type in my password) and then I searched it up on the internet, and there are mixed reviews. So, I didn't type in my password, I moved it to the trash.
